Information art exhibition by Gwangyang artists in Hội An

On the afternoon of May 22, 2025, at House No. 106 Bạch Đằng Street, with the endorsement of the authorities of Gwangyang City (South Korea) and the People’s Committee of Hội An City (Vietnam), the Gwangyang Culture City Center, in collaboration with the Hội An Center for Culture, Sports, Radio and Television, officially opened the Art Exhibition by Gwangyang Artists in Hội An.

From May 22 to May 27, the exhibition presents 20 paintings by 10 talented female artists from Gwangyang, featuring themes highlighting the beauty of Korean nature, culture, and people.
Gwangyang is a prominent industrial and economic hub of South Korea, home to the country’s largest international trade port by cargo volume and the world’s largest single steelmaking plant. The city also boasts rich natural landscapes and a diverse cultural and artistic heritage, including traditional culture, crafts, and fine arts.
Hội An, in turn, is a cultural, ecological, and creative tourism city in Vietnam. Formerly a major international trading port, it is renowned for its vibrant natural environment and unique traditional folk culture.
With many shared values, the two cities are actively exploring opportunities to build a cooperative relationship. This exhibition is part of the “Artcation” program - a collaborative initiative designed to allow Korean artists to present their works in Hội An, while also exploring, experiencing, creating, and engaging with local artists. Artworks created in Hội An during this time will later be exhibited in South Korea.
Beyond showcasing Korean artworks in Hội An, the exhibition offers a meaningful opportunity to discover and engage with artistic values. It also highlights Hội An as a land of cultural exchange and integration, a true “Creative House” - a destination where artists from around the world come to seek inspiration and ignite their creativity. The exhibition contributes to strengthening mutual understanding and cultural exchange between Vietnam and South Korea.
