Hội An confidently endorsed the content on creativity and cultural preservation, as these are areas in which the city has excelled over the years, even before joining the global network of creative cities (UCCN). Particularly, cultural preservation for sustainable development has always been considered the core element in the city's historical process.
Since joining UCCN, Hội An has vigorously promoted the process of integration and international exchange. This year, the city engaged in deep learning and exchanges on traditional handicrafts, folk arts, and various other fields with cities worldwide such as Thailand, South Korea, Portugal, Japan, and Australia.
The strong commitment shown by Hội An has been highly praised by cities within the network as well as by UNESCO. This affirms that Hội An, as a creative city, strives every day to create genuine creative values and contribute to the dissemination and development of the contemporary global cultural industry.
