On the evening of November 18, 2024, at Hoi An Park, 02 Tran Dao Street, an exchange and performance program featuring Indian artists took place in the city of Hoi An under the theme “Music of spirit.” This event was co-organized by Sahaja Yoga Vietnam and the Hoi An city authorities.
The artists delivered impressive performances with traditional Indian musical instruments and graceful dances, creating pure and peaceful sounds that captivated the audience. In addition, Sahaja Yoga Vietnam provided basic guidance for the audience to connect with themselves and awaken the pure energy within.
According to the organizers, the program featured renowned Indian artists such as Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi-a master of music and Sahaja Yoga; Anandita Basu-a famous artist in classical and semi-classical music, a professor of Indian music and dance; Atur Sundarkar-a professional master "Visarad" and a master of Indian arts and music; and Sushma Sulmeda-a Kuchipudi artist… who brought a lavish feast of traditional music.
“Music of Spirit” brought people closer together, connecting all souls, cultures, and languages.
In addition to the performances by Indian artists, there was a Vietnamese dance titled “My Homeland” performed by artists from the Hoi An Art Performance House, which served as a respectful greeting and a thank-you to the Indian artists for choosing Hoi An as a tour destination.
During this tour of Vietnam, the Indian artists made stops in Hanoi, Hoi An, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City. Sahaja Yoga Vietnam and the Indian artists chose Hoi An as a tour destination, once again affirming Hoi An as a land that nurtures creative values, attracting artists, painters, and professionals to create, perform, and some even choose to stay and build long-lasting careers. This is an advantage as Hoi An moves towards establishing a “Global Creative Hub” in the future.
