Cẩm Nam corn Festival, Hoi An 2025

Every year, in March, Hội An city becomes bustling in corn harvest season. Corn is grown along Cẩm Nam riverbank with generous soil; in there, soil is very fertile. It is nutritious foods in order to raised many Hội An generations as well as excellent material sources to create dishes in Hội An’s rich culinary culture.

In the last years, Hội An hosts Cẩm Nam Corn Festival and God of Agriculture Worship Ceremony to pray for favorable weather and bountiful harvests; aims to tribute to the ancestors. It is also an opportunity for locals and visitors to exchange, enjoy delicious dishes made from corn. This year, the Festival will be held in March 15-16 at Thanh Nam Corn Islet, Cẩm Nam ward, Hội An city.

In the chain of Festival, there are many activities such as Culinary space, Exhibition of OCOP products and handicrafts, Traditional folk games, Experiential activities start at 14:00 on March 15. At the same day, the Opening Ceremony will be organized at 16:30. In addition, the recognition certificate for Corn growing as a traditional craft of Quảng Nam province will be received in the Opening Ceremony. This prestigious title will further encourage locals to preserve and develop their craft, promoting Cẩm Nam’s corn to both domestic and international visitors.

At 7:00, on March 16, God of Agriculture Worship Ceremony will be organized with elder participants to express gratitude to Nature and Gods, pray for favorable weather as well as good health and prosperity.

Besides, other activities throughout the festival include Exchange of Folk dance clubs, Farmers Singing Contest, etc to create a vibrant atmosphere for locals and tourists.

All activities aim to encourage the development of organic agricultural products, promoting green and sustainable tourism. All these are expected to foster connections of the locals and tourist as well as promote cultural exchange and share local heritage values.

Cẩm Nam Corn Festival is a distinctive event that introduces about local culture and cuisine, preserves and honors long-standing tradition of corn growing. It contributes to popularizing the image of Cẩm Nam in particular and Hội An in general to domestic and international tourists.
