On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, Hội An city organizes a variety of cultural-artistic activities, fun and entertainment activities to serve the locals and tourists in Spring.

Hội An Lunar New Year Festival will be held in 23:00 on Jan 28th, 2025 at Hội An Park. The event will feature an exciting artistic program with captivating songs and performances by Hội An’s singers and bands. Besides, firework performance in the transition between old year to New Year is an opportunity to share joy and spread happiness as they welcome the New Year with faith and hope for a successful year.
In addition to annual activities that define Hội An cultural identity such as Spring Press Festival, Tree-planting Festival, Tết pole, Spring Boat Race, Program “Tết reunion – Spring sharing” and “Spring Warmth – Tết cherishing”… This year, Hội An city has arranged decorative clusters throughout the area. Especially, Spring Flower Festival 2025 will be organized from Jan 22 – 28 at a new area – Trảng Kèo Lake. The festival will feature hundreds of booths showcasing a wide variety of flowers, ornamental plants and festive decorations, along with cultural-artistic performances every night, offering the residents an immersive experience of Hội An’s charm in spring. In addition, in Hội An Park, from Jan 28 to Feb 8, 2025, there are a lot of fun and entertainment activities, modern games to provide festive joy for the locals on this occasion.
Hội An Lunar New Year Festival is an annual event, featuring the region’s unique traditions. It showcases local customs, beliefs, and spring cultural traditions such as the Nguyên Tiêu Festival, Cẩm Hà Kumquat Festival, Trà Quế Good Crop-praying Ceremony, Death Anniversary of Kim Bồng Carpentry Village’s Founder, Cẩm Nam Sticky Corn Festival… Since becoming a member of UNESCO’s Creative Cities Network in the field of Crafts and Folk Arts, Hội An has consistently prioritized the preservation and promotion of traditional cultural values, fostering creativity and opportunities for development, and driving positive transformation in the community’s daily life.
Additional experiential activities, such as Bài Chòi Folk Singing Festival, Traditional Music Performances, Hát Bội Art Performance (Classical Opera Performance), traditional folk games, etc… in the ancient town and surrounding communes/wards, contribute to the jubilant atmosphere of spring, blending the vibrant energy of nature and humanity.
Hội An Lunar New Year Festival is an opportunity to preserve and promote the traditional cultural values of Hội An in particular and Vietnam in general. It strengthens the love for homeland and country in the hearts of all residents, especially the young generation. Furthermore, it serves as a chance to introduce visitors “For a warm-hearted Hội An”, a city in cultural and spiritual life, confidently stepping into the New Year 2025.
