Xí mà (also known as Chí mà phù or Sweet black sesame soup) is specialty of Hội An. It is made from sesame, centella, paederia, cane sugar, cassava flour, potato flour and herbal ingredients.
With familiar yoke-baskets, the image of Mr. Ngô Thiểu has been associated with Xí mà while serving many local generations as well as visitors. After his passing, his family has continued to preserve and trade culinary tradition.
