Summary of the Hội An Young Leaders Training Program 2025

After nearly two months of implementation, the Hội An Young Leaders Training Program concluded with an emotional and inspiring closing ceremony, where 14 creative projects, infused with the passion, knowledge, and dreams of more than 50 high school students in Hội An, were officially presented.

Creative Ideas from Young Hearts

Following five weeks of intensive work, students confidently stepped out of their comfort zones, applying the knowledge and skills they had gained to present their projects before a panel of judges comprising international experts, researchers, local business leaders, and invited specialists who provided valuable feedback and critique.

Some standout projects included:

  • Kim Bồng Du Ca - A community-based tourism model combining immersive experiences with creative communications, connecting Kim Bồng and Cẩm Kim, along with an innovative flood-season tourism concept.
  • Chạm Lá Chạm Lành - Cultural tourism solutions for traditional medicine in Hội An, integrating health consultations with herbal experiences.
  • Neo Chòi - A digital library of Bài Chòi lyrics, along with souvenir products that bring this folk music closer to modern visitors.

Positive Feedback from Experts and the Community

The projects were highly appreciated by experts, businesses, and researchers for their creativity, feasibility, and potential to grow into real business models.

Student survey results:

  • 79% improved teamwork skills.
  • 68.4% enhanced critical thinking and effective communication.
  • 55.3% improved self-awareness and emotional management.

After the program, students will have the opportunity to join the Hội An Youth Innovation Club, where they can continue developing promising projects into prototypes and collaborate with local organizations and businesses to implement creative initiatives in Hội An and Đà Nẵng.

With these results, the Hội An Young Leaders Training Program has made a significant contribution to the project “Promoting Innovation for Youth and Communities”, funded by UN-Habitat and Fondation Botnar. The project aims to realize the vision of Hội An as a creative, inclusive, people-centered city. It is implemented by Wemaster and HoiAnlife, with the support of Hội An heritage management agencies, the Hội An International School (HAIS), HoiAnGo, as well as local associations, businesses, artisans, and artists.
