Artist Nguyễn Quốc Dân's “Scrap-recycling alley” is located at 11 Nguyễn Thái Học street, bringing a simple breath and imbued with indigenous cultural identity with the orientation of “recycling scrap” into art. From a small humid alley, through the hands of artist Nguyễn Quốc Dân, it has become more attractive and attracted young people, domestic and international tourists to enjoy. He also started to create an exhibition space of works from scrap 1,000m² wide in Thanh Hà ward. The Old corrugated iron Workshop - Art Studio or “Scrap Museum” is what he calls it, which was initiated at the beginning of 2020, and has been basically completed so far.
Mr. Dân's creative materials include pieces of rusted corrugated iron, slippers, pieces of wood, and discarded bottles. He frequently visits the scrap yard in search of materials for art and creative inspiration.
Recycled garbage is transformed into unique works of art by his skillful hands. Lanterns are made from drums, doors are made from old wooden boards, and lovely cups are made from logs,…
He revealed that he had lived in an orphanage since he was a child, so he understands all of the poor's hardships and always respects the discarded things. He has always wanted to give each scrap a fresh look and increase its value.
As a result, in Hội An, the “Scrap-recycling Workshop and Alley” - a green art creative space - was formed.
