Hoi An honored as Asia’s Leading Cultural City Destination

On the evening of September 3^rd, 2024, the ceremony of 31^st Asia and Oceania World Travel Awards – WTA in Manila, Philippines honored Hoi An as “Asia’s Leading Cultural City Destination” and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam Province awarded the title of “Asia’s Leading Local Tourism Management Agency”.

This is the fifth time Hoi An was honored with precious title of WTA, in 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024. In there, Hoi An city has four consecutive years for this award. It affirms its global reputation and special appeal to international tourists.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam Province is the only representative from Vietnam was honored and overcame many excellent regional candidates such as Bali (Indonesia), Sabah (Malaysia), Sarawak (Malaysia) và Luang Prabang (Laos) to achieve the title of “Asia’s Leading Local Tourism Management Agency”. In recent years, Quang Nam Tourism Industry, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province has made efforts to position toward sustainable, green tourism and received high appreciation from domestic and international agencies and organizations.

This year, Hoi An has consistently been recognized as one of the world’s most valuable destinations, ranked fourth among the most beautiful cities in Asia… and now honored as “Asia’s Leading Cultural City Destination”. This recognition reflects the love of international tourists having for small city along Hoai River. It also provides additional motivation for Hoi An to promote an attractive tourism products and services, continuously improving its quality as a valuable destination and offering unforgettable experiences for visitors.
