Plastic waste and excess fabric after being collected are created by members of "Happiness Store" (Hội An City) into recycled products with high aesthetics and applications such as bags, shopping bags, face masks, hair clips, notebooks, coasters, stuffed animals...
The Cẩm Nam Ward Disabled Women's Club cooperated with the S.E.A (Society and Environment Activities) Club to create the "Happiness Store" model in order to connect, improve the economy, and promote integration for disabled women.
This activity aims to protect the environment while also increasing income for members who are disabled women.
After more than 3 months of ideation and official operation, the store has completed approximately 300 products for orders from organizations and businesses; not to mention individual orders from exhibitions and fairs. With that number of products, the store has prevented the release of more than 200 kilograms of excess fabric and 50 kilograms of plastic and nylon banners into the environment.
Because of being made from waste and excess fabric, each product has its own design, color, and texture.
