Kim Bong carpentry village - attractive destination

People from Northern regions who lived in the Kim Bong carpentry village came to Hoi An to settle down and brought their traditional carpentry skills in order to establish the Kim Bong carpentry village. Kim Bong artisans have been assimilated many experiences and techniques from Champa dynasty period, Chinese, etc.

The Kim Bong carpentry village which has contributed to the architectural complex of Hoi An ancient town, has been considered to be the pillar that symbolizes the quintessential and pure blend of the artisans of Kim Bong carpentry village. The construction of several palaces and tombs of Kings of Nguyen dynasty were required a large number of skillfull-hands of Kim Bong artisans, who were summoned to Hue simultaneously between the 18th and 19th century.

Today, Kim Bong carpentry village has become an attractive destination, attracting domestic and foreign tourists to visit and experience.
