Hoi An handicraft village

The Handicraft Village Hoi An was founded by Truong Mi Sa and partners in June 2023, a group of creative individuals passionate about handcrafted products. We always aspire to carry on the legacy of our ancestors and develop new fields in the handicraft industry.

The first location of the village is at Alley 186 Tran Phu, a small and romantic alley near Japanese Bridge. Initially, there were only two handcraft stores, Sa Te Leatherworkshop and M&M tailor, specializing in handmade leather goods and tailored clothing, respectively. Later on, by twist of fate, artist Le Dac Tu and his wife opened a shop selling linen clothes, Chuu Hoian, in the same area. The concept of a Handicraft Village emerged when Thư Thả store, specializing in hand-embroidered linen clothing, opened its doors.

Initially, the village was quite modest, so the idea of organizing markets emerged to connect all enthusiasts of handicrafts.

After nearly a year of operation, thanks to these markets, the village expanded, bringing like-minded individuals closer. We then contemplated integrating a space where all crafts could be showcased regularly for visitors to enjoy without having to wait for monthly markets.

It was this idea that led to the official opening of the village under the name “Hoi An handicraft village” at 6 Luong Nhu Bich Street, Cam Nam, Hoi An in April 2024.

In this space, visitors can not only admire handcrafted products but also participate in experiential workshops.
